Meet the Team...
Meet your yoga teacher, Eve – a globe-trotter who loves yoga, snow boarding, kite boarding & wave surfing. 'Playing with the elements of nature gives me Prana,' she says. And Eve has organized her life style around that which she loves. Through her active hobbies Eve found – and fell in love with – yoga. 'Yoga gives me the balance of body and mind and the confidence to follow my dreams. ‘Through my various travels over the past twelve years I I gained both the knowledge and the beautiful life experiences that I aim to share with others today, upon their visit to Prana Casa'.
Eve has done a teacher training course with the emphasis on anatomy and physiology at SHIVSHAKTI YOGA INSTITUTE (www.drvenkysyoga.com) and a traditional Indian Hatha TTC at Yog Vidya Gurukul in India. She feels blessed to be in close contact with two of her teachers Venky & Paresh who advice her whenever necessary. Her ambition is not only teaching but also inspiring people and to help people with any imbalances in mind/body. 'Everybody should have access to the beautiful path of yoga which can help you with specific physical problems and increase the self-healing power of the body'. If she doesn't know the answer on any of your questions, she will ask her teachers in India for you. ' Knowledge is there to be shared, the more we know, the more we feel, the more we experience, the better we understand.'
Paresh, a neuroscientist and follower of yoga, is originally from India, who currently lives in Australia. His background is Engineering Physics & Science and combined with his love for yoga and meditation, his classes are very beneficial for students interested in exploring this very deep subject pragmatically.
He has been involved in teaching yoga and meditation to participants from different cultural, social and academic backgrounds. This includes professional doctors, neuroscientists, experienced yoga teachers, students and so on.
He is especially interested in teaching various meditation and relaxation techniques and scientifically studying the changes occurring in human creativity and lifestyle due to the meditation and relaxation practices.
Paresh has conducted yoga and meditation seminars in India, Australia and Europe, is an academic at the School of Physics, and has worked as a visiting scientist at the Howard Florey Institute of Medicine and Experimental Physiology, and the University of Melbourne.
Paresh will once a year offer a special workshop at Prana Casa Portugal
Lena, is the one that takes care of the well-being of our guests. As a professional Chef she knows that eating good and healthy food is essential for a good mood and the positive energy of your body. After working on a German island for two years, Lena recognised that she really loves the ocean, looking into the distance and wave surfing, and so she decided to go to Portugal. She really enjoys being creative in “good mood food”, creating new healthy and vegetarian/vegan meals and fulfilling the guests' culinary desires.
“ You are what you eat “ is her motto.
Lena made her three year long apprenticeship in Germany - everything but vegan - and when she came to Portugal she sat down for the first time to engage herself in vegetarian/vegan nutrition and found a new versatile challenge.
Picnic at the beach, healthy homemade food or deserts? Let yourself be surprised and look forward to delicious and wholesome meals.
Edina, energetic healer
Edina has inherited her healing ability from her father's lineage. After she got this heritage she dedicated 20 years from her life to study and practice to know more about this energy that manifests through her.
During energetic healing she works with her hands without touch, and the accumulated conscious/unconscious hindrances come to surface. The energy manages the healing, and it knows much better than us what you need.
